Glad you and your wife finally got together , just took the scenic route huh
Prom has come a long way since when I went , my wife went to a different school then I did , so we did both Proms , but I don't remember either one being a really huge deal , at least not compared to todays standards
Although I have different memories of each , because I didn't really know very many people at hers
But both times , and just being a week apart , but both times I didn't show up to pick her up until like 5:00 or so , a little earlier for mine because we had farther to drive , took a few pictures at her house , then it was off to prom
now today...................
it starts like at noon , at first her whole class gather along the banks of West Lake Okoboji , where a huge photo shoot takes place , with most all the kid's family there as well , they take pictures with their dates , they take pictures with their friends , then all the girls together , then all the boys together , then with their parents and grandparents , and whoever else they have there ,
so this goes on for like 2 or 3 hours , then , it's back to the High School Gym , which has been decorated like a big Hollywood Movie Red Carpet event , where they all do the big grand march thingy so everyone can see them all snickered up in the Sunday bests , which goes on for another hour or two , with a bazillion more photos
So by now , they've already put in an 8 hour day , before they actually even make iy to Prom...............lol
I always give them crap about all the pictures they take , because they do over do it , just a bit , but I'll admit at times , I am a little jealous , because my daughter has like 10,000 photos from Prom , 95% of which all look actually the same , but when I look back at my Prom , we have like 3 pictures...............lol
