Phone typing, bear with me.
Found two coyotes once. Mom had died. Caught them, still have the scars. Raised them. one died about two weeks later. Don't know why.
The other we kept for slightly over a year. Yes, I could pet him. Came time to free him and did.
For the next year he'd return, every couple of nights. Play with my German Shepard, Bonanza.
A little after a year he returned one night. Looked good, healthy. Never saw him again.
I like to think he's still out there, Ripe old age of about 40. Hehe. And one night, he'll return.
That's pretty cool, James.
I think my favorite land animals are probably horses, wolves and tigers. Dogs, for the "domesticated" variety. And the closer a dog is to a wolf, the more I feel a connection. Huskies seem pretty close, at least in looks.
We've lost MOST tiger breeds. That incredibly beautiful, immensely powerful animal is on the brink all over the world, and in general, the world's wildlife populations, all species combined, have been slashed in half just since 1970. We humans have GOT to be aggressively protecting nature, and that's not how things are going. Quite the opposite.
When it comes to the oceans, same thing is happening. My favorite sea creature is the dolphin, and they've been under threat for decades.
