That you found another Yellow Lab to fall in love with.. Dunno if you read a post I left a couple of months ago about our situation.. I'll sum it up quickly:
In December we lost our Beagle Lucie after battling an illness for 8 months.. She was soooo speculate to us.. to this day my wife and I both cry every day over her.. Anyways, two days after losing Lucie, who we'd had for 13 years, our other Beagle Torrie, who we'd had for 14 years, went down and wasn't expected to make it through the night.. We nursed her back to health and still have her, but she could die from another ruptured splenic mass at any time..
So, that same week in December, a photo of a paralyzed Beagle in South Carolina went across my Facebook page.. Long story short, I put in an application to adopt her and the shelter she was surrendered to provided back surgery, that was successful, along with removing a hernia she had.. She also had lost a large part of her tail somehow... Anyways, we were approved and flew to Atlanta to pick her up in February and she's been with us ever since.. Once we got here here, we also found she had heart worm, which we had treated, and then ear mites and hookworm.. she's been through the ringer, but I think we've got her healthy now and hopefully happy..
Its always great to talk with fellow animal lovers.. Its so good to know you all are still out there and I'm always honored to know you all...
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
