1980 - so 3-4 years before the 80's metal thing kicked in.. When I graduated, if I remember correctly, all the bands I mentioned plus Foreigner and a few others were riding sky high..
I graduated 1981, when you mentioned all those bands I thought those are the very bands that were the rage in New Jersey. Aerosmith toys in the attic was still very popular.
The one band that wasn't that big was my favorite Black Sabbath. But honestly their music from the mid 70's till Heaven and Hell 1980 wasn't attractive to me.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973) - was the best of this group.
Sabotage (1975)
Technical Ecstasy (1976)
Never Say Die! (1978)
When Ozzy left and Ronnie JAmes Dio came in and they cut Heaven and Hell then Mob Rules....I was all in, Dio was a great singer....well....IMO.
Ok...enough of boring you. Happy Easter brother
You guys are making me feel old.

1975 for me.
Aerosmith was another big mover for our parties. They were just starting to make it back then, and had not yet ventured into any areas of Top Forty production. Tyler was one of the all-time great screamers, too. The singer for Deep Purple was close.
