but I seriously have these "cat-like reflexes.." I never fall down.. if I do, I manage to, in mid air, kind of correct and land in a manner where I can break my own fall.. I'm not trying to brag, or anything, its really true.. Now the REALLY weird part,is I get off balance all the time.. Especially over the last year and even more so after neck surgery.. I'll just be standing there, down nothing, and literally almost fall down.. it happens like 15 times a day, at least.. But, I always catch myself and never actually fall down..

So, even tho I've jumped out of, and fallen out of trees, off roofs etc.. I always manage to land "light" and not hurt anything.. Now, having gone through life without stitches is another story - although for the most part probably in part for the same reason.. Probably 1-2 times I should have gotten a stitch or two, but didn't..

Stage injuries... Well.. second degree burns due to a pyro accident.. set my hair on fire another time.. Cut my left index finger the night before a big show in Dallas in '85.. Was opening a box with a box cutter and slipped.. guitar strings kept getting caught in the cut and I blew onstage like a stuck pig.. I looked down and the guitar, my outfit, my hand, arm everything just caked in blood.. I have actually never gotten shocked onstage - that I can remember anyways.. I know when we were opening for WASP in Dallas, the "orchestra pit" in front of the stage was really deep - like 9-10 feet below stage level.. I was at the edge of the stage and lost my balance and was going head first into the pit when the singer grabbed my jacket and pulled me back onstage... Saved my butt..

3-4 years ago I was at the front of the stage and started backpedaling toward the drums.. my foot clip the drum riser and I was headed backward about a second from plowing into the drums and having a major accident when, again, the singer (different one) just happened to turn around, see what was happening, and grab my left arm and keep me from wiping gout.. He pulled my arm off the guitar, so it sounded like hell for a second, but he saved a major accident... if I think of some others, I'll post 'em...
