My Wife's two boys played in a league that went from February till June. THEN they had the "All Stars", which had 142 pre District Tourney tournaments...or so it seemed. Then came the Districts Not to mention the practices in between. On top of that, there were kids who did camps around all of that. IT IS TOOOO MUCH on youngsters!

Just 2 years ago, I heard ex Braves star, John Smoltz, say the SAME thing. Baseball used to be 3...maybe 4 months out of the year. These days, it's almost year round.

Watching my Step Sons play, I observed, too often, over hyped Parents were usually the blame. I also have seen some VERY VERY naturally talented young players that are burnt out and DONE with baseball by age 15. Not because of injury but just tired of it.
