Alcohol can and does cause a multitude of very serious physical and mental impediments diseases. However, I know of no studies that relate alcoholism to dementia or alzheimer's disease. If there are any I would be interested in reading them. It's a subject that is fascinating to me.and terribly sad at the same time.
