My wife will CRAP when I get one.. She's already told me she won't be overly happy because it would be one more piece of equipment to fail on a vacation and cause me stress.. lol.. As it stands, I already take the Nikon and lenses, all the dive gear, at least 2 gopros, iPad, her Kindle, her cell phone etc.. We constantly are recharging batteries on dive trips - all day, every day..
Oh, but for the love of God those videos that dude shot in Bora Bora were amazing.. He has them directly uploaded to his account on facebook, not on youtube, or I'd post links to them.. I remember we were walking on the wooden walkways over the water to our bungalow when I heard the drone flying and actually got T'd off and said I was gonna shoot it down lol.. Then we met the couple and stayed in touch and saw his vids - and he doesn't even know what he's doing photography-wise - but they were outstanding.. If I can figure out how to post a link to them on facebook, I will..
When you do take it to Hawaii, my only suggestion would be to get a polarizing filter for the gopro.. You can get them, but make sure you get one that fits your gopro as every gopro has a different mount over the lens.. polarizing filter will block the glare on the water and make all the colors stand out more.. Then you can tweak the snot out of them in post production, either in your own software or gopro's software, which is limited..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
