My granddaughter's cheerleading competition. We weren't happy that both events fell on the same day. My daughter was irate she had to miss Mason's game BUT... Kerman, and Tranquillity, people gathered in Vegas at the cheerleading competition and watched the game on the ESPN3 stream. We were also video chatting with them. Amazing what 'tech' can do these days. We watched my granddaughter's cheer routines via video chat.
Saw more than a few standouts at the game, Greg... sure wish Fresno had them. The QB throwing to Mason, Chase Cord out of AZ is headed for Boise... gonna give us fits I fear. He's raw, doesn't read the field well, like most HS QB's... but he's a good one.
Had a nice complement I'd like to mention... before the game we met several other parents, grandparents... one of them was the father of #1 Daylon Thetford who scored 2 TD's, he's a small RB. After his son caught our first TD pass he came down to us and said thanks... Mason had caught two drive sustaining first down passes on the drive where his son scored the TD.
Also want to give a shout out to the Coaches. Never seen more 'fair' play in my life... giving every kid a chance. My grandson didn't even come in the game in the 4th quarter BUT the reason being - he had had his moment... several of the other receivers, (we had 7 WR's) had not had a catch so they played the entire 4th quarter. - JamesJM
