Just takes a lot of practice.

I still recall my first model that my Brother bought me, around 1974. It was a gunky glue mess!! A Lindberg 1/72 scale TBF. Early on, I learned a lot from my Brother then a LOT of trial and error. It's never too late to start. Just three days ago, I was watching an instructional video on Youtube by a "Professional", about 60 years old, who said he has been at it for about 15 years. I've been building for almost 43 years and am pretty good but far from great.
