Feel like I lost a big chunk of childhood. Not to mention, I , like so many kids of the 70s and 80s, had a crush on her. Even as she aged beyond her years, I still admired her because I knew she was going through hell but was STILL able to laugh at herself and life. Years ago, my Mom used to get People magazine. I LOVED the cover of her, as Carrie Fisher, NOT Leia, with Darth Vader. She had ahold of Vader's arm and was smiling big and or laughing. VERY cute picture of her. Had to be around 1980 or 81.
