We lost our little Beagle girl Lucie on Monday.. She got an autoimmune disease in April that we've been fighting.. We fought so hard to keep her with us, but her little body just finally gave out.. We drove her 50 miles to Bowie Texas to be cremated on Tuesday, so she'll have a forever home on our mantle.. She was our little girl - we loved her so much..
Torrie, our other Beagle girl was clinging to me yesterday because she knew I was so upset.. She laid down around 5pm and hasn't gotten up since.. We took her to the vet and she has a mass that ruptured in her spleen.. They did not expect her to make it through the night.. We just took her back and they ran another blood test and could tell the bleeding had stopped, but they told us its inevitable that it will begin to bleed again.. We may have her a few hours or a few days, but it inevitable that we are going to lose Torrie, as well, probably within a week of losing Lucie..
Our lives revolved around these little girls.. they really did.. ad we're losing both of them in a week.. We are so utterly devastated and heartbroken.... Here's a pic or Torrie and Lucie - Torrie is on the left, Lucie on the right..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
