Two trillion galaxies...

October 13, 2016 06:14PM
until recently it was estimated that our universe held between 100 and 200 billion galaxies. NOW - they are theorizing that this estimate may be much too low, 10 times too low.

So Ok... gotta be honest - I couldn't wrap my brain around 200 billion galaxies... so bumping it up to 2 trillion wasn't actually a big mind blower for me... either estimate being beyond my comprehension.

so how many stars is that? I dunno.. I'll leave it to you math guys BUT... at 200 billion galaxies it was estimated that there were 1024 stars... now they are saying 10 times that many so you do the math.

It's a LOT of stars... like we could each be living on our own star and visit the closet several trillion stars next to us and not run into one another.

Try to take that in... and if you can... then maybe you can explain to me why the Ram's red-zone prowess is so abysmally bad.. a far more incomprehensible fact. - JamesJM
