by liking it better it would probably eliminate my grandson's team this year if we adopted your system.
Here you can play in the playoffs no matter what. Or at least that's my understanding... I think there are a few 'guidelines' but you can pretty much participate if your school chooses to do so. Dumb, huh?
Congrats, btw... on a very good season, even without the playoffs.
We have two regular season games left... and without doubt these are the most competitive teams in our league of all time. ALL of them pretty equal save for one who is most likely a step above the others, (even though they lost a game this year).
Now this is guess-work on my part because, as I said, a school can choose to participate or not to participate in the playoffs. We are 5-3 on the year. 1-1 in league. If we split, (which is probably most likely) and finish at 6-4 we'll play in the playoffs... if we lose both... I doubt we play in the playoffs, even though we could. The 'entire' schedule record takes priority these days over league play.
Back to 'playing if you so choose'... I don't think it's 'right' that we should make the playoffs with 6-4 record, perhaps not even a 7-3 record (that's a lot more iffy)... BUT.. it's my Grandson's Senior year... and he's doing well. #1 WR in our League and #2 in our Division. So you can BET I'm wanting the playoffs. - JamesJM
