For about a week
Was there on a Navy Dep
They have a ground based Catapult system there
I don't remember a whole lot , or what they were actually testing , all I did was arm and disarm the ejector racks for our F-18's fuel tanks right before they took off and returned
The F-18 was still a brand new aircraft at the times and I'm sure they were still running numerous tests on the aircraft
But I do remember it was probably one of the most boring week of my life , we'd launch the aircraft , then sit around and do absolutely nothing for a couple hours till they came back , and then disarm the ejector rack , which took a whole 20 seconds , then go sit around again for a few hours doing absolutely nothing , until it was time to rearm them , although I did take a lot of naps......................lol
Although visiting the crash site for the Hindenburg was pretty cool , but other then that , there really isn't much else on that base
One other thing I remember , the deer out there are really small
