Not sure what they were trying to use my card for... neither the customer rep nor I recognized the 'business'.
This morning I had to go to all those sites, change my passwords... then change credit cards.
Props to Capital One here... they caught it immediately. Through the years they have contacted me several times when they see something out of the ordinary... text messages... with an "Approve" or "Deny" option. I don't mind this at all, and in fact love it. They issued me a new card that I can use immediately... though I don't have the card yet.
This is, I think, the first time this has happened to me. If it's happened before it was a long time ago and I've forgotten about it. I DID lose my wallet once and had to cancel all my cards but that was immediate.. no fraudulent attempts before all cards were cancelled.
