my perfect game needs and preferences scenario:
"prefer the actual audio if you were in the stadium at the game, 23... Bare minimum from the announcer, but enough to keep you up to date.. no color commentary and definitely no opinions..."
I think my problem with all announcers is that for the 25 years I spent as a season ticket holder until the RAMS left the area for St.Louis I didn't have to be annoyed by the tv announcing.
I had the game announcer over the PA system giving the bare minimum input that I rarely listened to or HERD anyway. I got use to that over all those years and when I watched games on tv back in those days I can't remember now but I probably turned the sound way down eliminating all the great game sounds and that sucks.
The game sounds are what I love about watching the games, the crowd noise, the physical sounds of the players and all the other good stuff about games.
Oh well, I guess I'll do what I always do, hope that the two ( I hope it's just two) in the booth come the regular season games show a little compassion for those of us who don't need, want or give a rats patooty about their obnoxious, egotistical and intrusive blabber on and on and on.
The 3 that did the preseason games were about the worst I've ever had to put up with, thank goodness that's over.
Thanks for the input, I enjoyed yakin with ya as always.
