yeah-my left shoulder just clicks and pops all the time when I lift it in a circular motion-which is what I do when I swim in our lap pool. Hopefully, I can start up soon. I'm told that the clicking is from the bones moving against each other since the material between the bones has worn out due to age. That's the "bursa" which is a small sac that contains liquid which helps ease the friction between the bones. I don't think there is any surgery than can replace that.
