Hip Hop violent "culture" is prevalent in all socio-economic strata for the 35 and under crowd. Violence, misogyny, disrespect, me-me-me and plenty of other vile behavior is glorified and sold for billions. It becomes an attitude/lifestyle when stupid people are in public drinking.
I have in the past had many conversations about this with a friend of mine from Cleveland who happened to grow up in probably as bad of a ghetto as CLE has.
We shook our heads a lot.
