No I didn't wear one of those hats, the men (young men) wore something like what the Army called a Garrison Cap, I was at Ft. Riley, we called them c**t caps (rhymes with bunt)
It was a disposable type paper cap that you got a new one when you came to work, you did get a few zipper shirts, the color resembled a Nehru jacket, and it was those bright orange and yellow colors. They looked sort of like a shirt Charlie Harper would wear in Two and a Half Men.
I'm pretty sure hamburgers were .30 cents, cheese burgers were .35 cents, I worked there in '74 at the height of the "Hold the Pickles, Hold the Lettuce" jingle.
