I've actually heard of people putting up bat houses to attract them, but a pontoon boat makes for a very expensive version, I would imagine.

You managed to conjure up a vivid image of the noodle swinging at and missing bats over and over.

On a slightly more serious note, bats and their guano can potentially carry some nasty germs, which is one reason I never put up a bat house, despite my love of unlovable wildlife. Clean that area with something powerful, is my advice.
