Facing reality, I'm not a cold weather person...

Often consider moving, as I've posted before... and I always tend to think of places like Montana, Wyoming, Colorado..... BUT....

Forgot to turn on my heater last night.... slept well, under the covers, but awoke to a house in the upper 50's. I'm a block of ice.

Just went into the kitchen to brew a pot of coffee... had to put on my long john thermals, my thick wool socks AND wool slippers, and then scolded myself for forgetting my wool stocking cap.

Looked out my window to see fog and thought, "Do I really need to leave the house today?".

Here's the thing.... getting cold is one thing, I can handle getting cold... for a while.... BUT... it takes me forever to warm up. Yes, I can sit in front of a heater and toast the outside of my body but the inside isn't fooled and requires springtime and an early summer before I'm actually warm again.

If I do ever move I hope sanity prevails and I choose a place where anything below 70 is considered unbearable. - JamesJM
