WAY back, like WAY WAY back... certain movies, the most popular ones, were aired on national TV once a year. I was reminded of this when I saw a meme today on a social media site noting that The Wizard Of Oz was released into theaters 80 years ago today.
I know some of you are old enough to remember when TWOZ was aired once a year, to great fanfare, and anticipation. At the time it was like the Super Bowl to me.
There were others, however.. and I was trying to remember which ones? I need help.
The Ten Commandments and The Robe were two.... others? I know there were but my memory has grown hazy. - JamesJM
