I have never been on a cruise ship...

Or any big ship... at sea that is. I have toured the Queen Mary, been on some docked battleships.

I have no desire to go on a cruise ship. I liken this attitude to those who refuse to join in on the internet. It's silly... but there you have it.

My wife has been on several cruise ships... her and her friends take a yearly trip, various destinations. She LOVES them. When she gets home she begins naming off all the 'great' things about a cruise... nothing on her list tempts me. Sure, the 'food' thing sounds pretty good but that's available on shore as well. Same for the 'music', or entertainment.

Taking a trip on a cargo ship DOES interest me.... no crowds, solitude, I can appreciate that. But at sea with thousands?

So I'm not trying to 'make a case' here for my archaic attitude about cruise ships...without question if I DID go one I'd love it... have a great time. Except, no I wouldn't. - JamesJM
