So last night I'm looking for a 'mild' horror movie to watch... with two grandsons and my son-in-law. My son-in-law saw Killer Klowns flash by as we perused the movies on Hulu and nearly leapt to his feet, "KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE.... oh we HAVE to watch that. It's one of the first movies I ever saw on VHS".
And so, me knowing nothing much about horror movies, we watched it.
Wow.
If you haven't seen it - I will be no help. I don't know what to say about it. Oh yeah... one thing. Dean Wormer is in it. I only recognized one other actor - Royal Dano, who is the first one killed, very lucky guy. And I guess I could say - It's a comedy, sans the comedy.
The movie has a 6.1 rating on IMDB, which astounds me.
I also learned on IMDB that it's a 'Cult Classic'.... which didn't surprise me in the least and pretty much guessed that just by the title.
I'm not sure if a sequel was made... but one should have been made. In the sequel it would be the story of the guy who came up with the idea, wrote the screen play, then sold this idea to a Hollywood producer.
