Maybe it's just me but I don't care for Tax season. NOT just the money I have to fork out, but the whole process of getting my financial records in order, submitting them, answering a gazillion questions my accountant has, having to drive to Fresno umpteen times.
This year I got a head start... I began Jan. 2nd. Early start, I wanted to be done with it by the end of Jan. Instead... Got an email from my accountant this last Friday saying the forms were complete.
My lesson learned -
It doesn't matter how early I start it's going to be very late March or early April before the tax filing process is complete.
Some good news - For the first time in my life I paid less taxes than the previous year. Of course, that means I made less money... which is bad news.
My lesson learned -
When it comes to taxes there is no 'good news'.
My plan for next year's tax season - I don't have one, and won't. Tax season is meant to be a living hell... and any attempt to make it less so makes it more so. - JamesJM
