I am beginning to miss that generation ahead of me... their unfiltered comments. Things my Dad said. My Mom Said. My older uncles, aunts, cousins, friends.
Of course... I'm sure that *I* am the one saying those things now but that's not the same... when you're in charge you don't really think of it as 'unfiltered'. You think of it as 'common sense'.
So when my daughter's, my son, say to their friends, "You can't believe what my Dad said", it goes right over my head.
And no explanation is forthcoming... Me, "WHAT? What was wrong with what I said".... Reply <chuckles, smirks> "You wouldn't understand".
