For YEARS, I have had issues with food sticking in the center of my chest after I swallow. Had a endoscopy a year and a half ago when I did my colonoscopy too. That helped stretch thing for a bit but I'm back with the same ol issues. I simply have to make damn sure I REALLY chew my food. AND THEN....For a few days over Oct, Nov and Dec, I started having heart burn with some acid reflux. Where I'm going with this is for the past week, I have been having some pain (NOT extreme by any means...but pain) in the center of my chest after I eat and it radiates almost to my left side and sometimes to my right. But mostly, I feel it right behind my sternum............MY guess is my esophagus got really irritated when I had the acid reflux. Has anyone had a similar issue.
I guess me being 51, my Step Dad is dying with cancer, my Mom, Dad and Brother gone...I guess I'm a tad worried of something bad. My endoscopy DID indicate a year and a half ago that there was already some irritation on the esophagus. I'm guess my latest reflux attack really set it off. Internally, last May, I had a thorough sonogram exam. I DO have a slight fatty liver and very subtle plaque (Common at 51, I hear) in my aorta but there were no red alert threats.
Any advice or shared past experience?? Getting old can be scary..........AND AIN'T FOR SISSIES! Right Mama?
