I loved every single episode of Bonanza... the dearest friend I ever had in my life, a german shepherd.... by my side from 1960 to 1974.... was named "Bonanza".
Three episodes stand out... but I don't mean by a 'big degree'... I loved all of them... but these three changed my life:
The Leprechauns Episode.
Walter - a dog named Walter... Hoss at his finest.
And Hoss fighting Slim Pickens in what I think was the greatest 'fight' ever.... 'fiction or reality'.
In my formative years I was like most... TV was everything... and there were several TV shows I watched regularly... but I don't think, (reserving the right to change my mind), I followed any TV show EVER as religiously as I followed Bonanza.
Bonanza was the 2nd TV show I ever saw 'in color'... "Hazel" being the first, and I didn't even like "Hazel"....welll, a little I did. Both of those soon followed by "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons". - JamesJM
