cable TV/subscriptions advice

December 28, 2017 09:58AM
I am one of those late adopters who just now is going to convert from overpriced (Comcast) cable to something more logical and ideally a lot cheaper. Looking for advice.

Currently a Comcast subscriber for phone/cable/internet. Suckered into the premium channels a few years ago and got hooked. Total bill including fees ~$205/mo.

We have a Netflix subscription. Is it as simple as just backing out to basic cable? Is something like Hulu worth getting if you have Netflix already? Playstation Vue (we stream Netflix through our kids' PlayStation)? Can you really just get ESPN, NFL Network, CNN, local major networks etc. through that?

So many options... Not getting DirecTV. Advice really appreciated....
