And no, I won't be reading any replies to this thread until after I have seen the movie. (risk of spoilers). Going to see it in 3D, at the request of my grandsons... but personally? I'd rather see it in standard play... why?
Because the last several movies I've seen in 3D had no reason to BE in 3D... very little 3D effects were actually used, so the 'discomfort' of wearing those glasses wasn't worth it. I don't know why that's so... because...
A movie that truly uses 3D is amazing. IMHO they just don't.... oh I'm sure an asteroid will fly past my head, one always does, and also some blown apart spaceship chaf... and at least once I expect a light saber to come at my nose.... but overall? I doubt it's worth it. - JamesJM
