Just across the Florida / Georgia line, N / NW of here, there's a HUUUUGE fire in the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. It's close to 100,000 acres. When I did my yard this morning, there was not a single cloud in the sky, temps in the 60s....BEAUTIFUL! The winds shifted about an hour ago. LUCKILY, the winds are pretty strong, keeping the smoke high because it is quite thick.
Had the saaaaame thing happen 6 years ago at the saaaaame time of year, except the smoke from the swamp was LOW. I recall it added too my already gloomy time with my Son's health scare and my Brother passing. Like then, it will probably burn till we get our usual Summertime afternoon rains that usually kick in around mid / late June.
