This question inspired by Jimmy's post and zn's reply..
I've seen some incredible shows, but the one that I think amazed me the most was Todd Rundgren in his Utopia days on the Ra tour.. It was amazing.. Wait, I already said that.. he had a huge pyramid over the entire stage, a huge Sphinx behind the drums that shot smoke, lasers and strobe lights.. Rundgren climbed the pyramid and then flipped over forward and was lowered to the stage.. its in the vid around the 1:30 mark.. I dunno how he climbed it without falling off - while soloing...
The drummer did a solo with water blasting all over his kit.. the bassist did a solo with tons of wind and smoke, and the keyboardist did a solo with fire everywhere and a smoke breathing dragon chasing him all over.. I shot pics, but they are buried somewhere.. The second video has better quality footage, but I haven't watched it all.. yet..
