I'd like the OL to be better than middle of the pack too. But regarding Goff I think he can be quite a bit better than 2019 behind even a mediocre OL. They were brutal the first 6-7 games. Brutal.
I would use the last 7 games (once Blythe became the center, Evans and Corbett were inserted into the lineup, etc.) as the bigger sample size. Goff had an 82.7 QB rating the first 9 games. 91.4 over the final 7. Now is 91.4 great? No. But it would have been 15th in the league last year vs. 22nd where he finished. So, better...
And then I think we have to hope other factors like removing Gurley and Cooks and McVay seemingly learning to use 12 personnel more help the offense as a whole. After the Draft some people complained that Van Jefferson was not a Cooks deep threat replacement and I think he could actually help Goff in different ways. His ability to get open on shorter routes can help them get the ball out faster. Goff got killed last year sitting back waiting for deep patterns to develop and then when he did throw them was off the mark.
I see it all much the same way.
