Is that rarely do they actually change the expectation based on where the teams finished last season. Every year the NFL fortunes rise and fall. But the predictions are usually far too strongly biased on the previous season.
Rams deserve to be about where they have them because of the questions surrounding the OL. But their skill position moves were quite nice so if their dice roll on the OL pays off they are very much a darkhorse.
If OL is solid or good, their offense will smoke. Obviously, they have unproven guys at RB, but I love the unit. The only caveat in my view is that Henderson and Akers won't be as good in 2020 as they will become. But their skill position players, as a whole, are arguably top-5 if supported by an OL that can protect JG and open some holes.
And then defense. Honestly, my only significant concern is the pass rush.
Special teams I think will be better simply because both Hekker and GZ had down years. Smart money says Johnny will rebound and than even a new kicker will do no worse than GZ did last year. And certainly the return games were mediocre.
All told: a solid OL and I LOVE the Rams' chances of making the playoffs.
