new helmet colors are cool..... I just wish it had Rams Horns on it instead of whatever the new emblem is supposed to be.
Exactly. One should not have to use their imagination to see a Ram horn on the helmet.
I don't care how people try to Gloss this FUBAR over as being acceptable, it's just not.
You forgot to say "in your opinion".
I love the older horns and
wish they were still on the helmet If they bring back the old horns,
I will be thrilledLogos = Not great so I'm hoping it changes relatively soon.
Uniforms = I would love a horn on the sleeves and no gradient numbers. I'm hoping 1 of the 2 new jerseys will have the old away jersey look and the other the old throwback blue and whites!
Helmet = I would like the old horn back
Go Rams!
So reading between "your lines" RFT, you appear to be "settling" for the new look and would be happier or "thrilled" as you say for the older look. I think that's what is going on for most fans. They are "settling" just like you and are trying hard to find things to like about the new stuff.
Maybe someday we can all be "thrilled" and not just "accept" what we are forced to accept. Of course this is all IMO.
I'm not "settling" as you are stating. I guess I wasn't clear. There are things I like/love about the new helmet and uniforms, there are things that I would like tweaked but it's not that big of a deal to complain about it ad nauseam. And why cut out parts of my post that help explain my thought process like:
Helmet = Thank you for the colors and a decent horn. I would like the old horn back but if not, I'm good with it. Just think of what they could have done to the helmet....especially after the logo update You just kept the part that helps your argument but doesn't give the reader the entire meaning of my statement.
What you're saying is if not every single little thing is loved, then we are settling. I don't agree. It's not a perfect world. I'm not perfect but my wife still loves me (I hope
). There is no perfect uniform that everybody would love.
Maybe I am reading too much into your post and I apologize if I am but I think I read it pretty clearly. Did I miss the part where you said you like the new stuff BETTER than the old?
I just pointed out that based on your own words you like the older stuff better. I understand you also "like" some things about the new uni/logo, but based on what I "cut and pasted" gave me the impression you are settling ie; "I would be THRILLED to have the old horns back BUT... "it's not that big of a deal to complain about it ". Tells me you just don't want to complain about it and therefore are "accepting" the new. The parts I didn't paste show you DO like some of the new stuff but come across as "secondary" to your inital response.
You didn't say you were "thrilled" about any of the new changes, in fact, you state: "I would love a horn on the sleeves and no gradient numbers." and "I would like the old horn back" tells me all I need to know.
It's ok, I think a lot of people feel like you and prefer the OLD but just are tired of complaining about the new. Maybe one day you will be "thrilled" again when and if they ever change back. I am trying HARD to find things I like about the new stuff and DO like some things, but not nearly as much as I do the older look...just like you.
Goooo Rams!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
