Mostly, people think about the "Cooks role" in terms of speed. As you say, Watkins played that part before Cooks. I'm just noting that, at least as assessed by 40 times in shorts, Woods and Watkins have comparable speed. Might we see more deep routes from Woods this year?
Or maybe it's just about having a receiver, whether because of speed/physicality/height/something else, who demands safety help down the field. Seems to me that in Woods and Jefferson, both with good speed and elite route-running ability, we just might have two guys who can play the role.
