It's funny how many pundits (and fans) subscribe to the BPA philosophy... until a team actually follows it. THEN drafting BPA becomes an indictment of the incumbents at the positions drafted.
Does drafting Akers, Jefferson, and Hopkins mean the Rams are down on Henderson, Reynolds, and Everett?
I seriously doubt it. Fact is that to be successful teams need quality depth and inexpensive (1st-contract) contributors, as well as the pricier stars, including some who get 2nd contracts. Gotta be able to churn much of the rosters well to be successful, simple as that.
