i kinda agree that there are no "strong" needs which is how snead always wants to approach a draft in order to promote flexibility. That being said....i think the 3 biggest needs are (in order) edge, oline, and rb. all three positions have guys who CAN step up, but they are unknown quantities (to us anyway). moreover, that being said, im not at all sure thats how the draft will go. im still perplexed with the oline needs. do you draft a tackle to replace AW or do you draft an interior guy to play now. resigning blythe confused me. i also think with the strength of the wr spot in this draft they can get a really good player in the second.
sorry. that was kind of a longwinded answer. what do you think is the biggest need?
I like your identified priorities, but would flip RB and OL. I'm a big Henderson fan and like Brown more than most here seem to. My only concern in both cases is durability, but it's a real concern. Kelly does not impress me at all, so I'd really like to see another quality guy in the mix.
Blythe at C is fine to me, but he's on a 1-year deal. Lots of promising-but-unproven youngsters. Put those together and I think C is a need.
Definitely wondering where the outside rush will come from, but I've read that in Staley's D the rush relies more on scheme and unpredictability than particular spots. Statistically, the move from 2019 Fowler to 2019 Floyd is a huge pass-rush downgrade, but sounds like Floyd didn't have nearly the opportunity to pass-rush than Fowler did, at least last year. He certainly had solid sack numbers in college - and he's fast. Eager to see what he can do. All that said, I def see the need to draft some pass rush talent.
