Not entirely sure they pay him, and think that comes down to how he plays this year. The Rams' secondary at large didn't handle zone responsibilities all that well last season, so if our new DC mixes in more of that we'll see how the different pieces respond and Johnson is a big one there.
I still feel like a safety who can ballhawk deep as a single high for us would be an important add. Still see both Rapp and Johnson as more box guys who can cover. But might be wrong there and gonna wait and see on JJ but for now I don't feel like he's a slam dunk in the way that Ramsey (given what we gave up) and Kupp (QB safety blanket) are.
Oh and lastly I'm not totally sold on the fact they'll be able to sign Ramsey no matter how hard they try. Hope I'm wrong here, will be very happy when that happens if it does, but for me it's a big concern. I feel like if the Rams don't have a strong season he's going to insist on hitting the market.
