We have M Brown and Henderson. If we draft another RB in 2nd or 3rd rd you are admitting that Henderson is not what you thought. Im not ready to make that claim, and even if he is not, M Brown should be able to serve as a # 1 back. You want to see a ram RB have success, draft some real linemen who can actually open some holes and protect the QB. Blythe, Havenstein, Corbett, Allen, Noteboom will simply not cut it.
I’m almost speechless, backer.
McVay’s whole O is predicated on constantly presenting a feared RB along with a feared passing game. Period.
And you want to hang the success of the entire ‘20 running game on the shoulders of Henderson and Brown? The same Henderson that struggled with the playbook and pass pro? And missed games due to 2 different injuries? Really?
Or the same Malcolm Brown that had a disappointing season and also had his share of injuries just when we needed him most?
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and predict that the Rams will draft a starting caliber RB somewhere on Day 2. Might not be at pick 52, might be after a trade down or two, but somewhere on Day 2 a quality RB will be picked. McVay knows he HAS to bolster his RB room until Henderson can prove that he’s the #1 caliber starter at RB.
I mean, the success of the ‘20 season might depend on it. This is a no brainer, IMO.
