Yeah there were a lot of us. Me included.
But I was also with those who argued that didn't mean he was done. You can be a productive NFL back with his condition.
In terms of cutting him, no need for that argument really. No one that I saw said they should not cut him and that contract.
Some said they weren't sure they could do it because of the cap. But that was before they voted in the new CBA. Until then, because there was no CBA until they voted on it, there were no "after June 1st" cuts allowed. Cutting or trading him under those conditions would have meant a huge cap hit.
When they voted in the new CBA, the Rams could designate it a post June 1 cut, and that allowed them to do it.
