I don't have a problem bringing him back for that. But will he be that cheap? Would he sign that low a contract before the FA period which is due to open soon? I expect him to get a bit more than that and not interested in bleeding cap space on depth.
Also in every draft the box/SS types are relatively easy to find starting in round 2 on. Rams can't draft every position, certainly, but if they plug some of these other holes in FA they might be able to spare a pick for a SS, another RB for the depth chart, etc.
With Ramsey looming as (hopefully) a signing we should see soon, bleeding a million here and a couple million there is going to add up and matter.
