Game after game, week after week, he came to the stadium unprepared and more often than not, he would prefer poorly.
Yet, so many fans, kept the faith, and kept saying how he was going to be a great one. I get being optimistic and protecting your own and I get the glass half full thinking, but this was beyond that kind of thinking where you reviewed the week by week results that were trainwreck like.
It was like it was another universe where all was well and no worries in the world.
Now, we find out many years later, he never put his best foot forward and the team and the Fans were really cheated.
I have never seen in all the years of the Rams seen are player where the praise and likes is so upside down with the actual performance which is why I say he is the most celebrated Rams Bust of all time.
To boot, that pick never made sense from the get go. Draft a project at the #2 slot for a player that doesn't touch the ball or rush the passer (a playmaker) is reckless unless you have the real deal.
He was always a project. A guy that dominated the boys in college with superior strength and physical talent that came from a program with a very basic playbook and never showed any ability to prepare for the level of preparation required in the NFL.
To me, it was the worst pick in Rams history given where he was drafted and all the question marks and the position he played.
