i agree with you overall point about a fresh new look with influences of tradition. however as i noted above in another post the notion that you can know the pulse of "youngsters" based on anecdotal observations from a single trip to a game is extremely flawed. ill give you just 1 example. who bought the gear? the kid or the parent? moreover, the buyers bought was available. if given the option of new vs old, which would they buy?

you point out RIGHTLY about your first pair of NEW cool looking rams socks. but that time doesnt exist anymore. those styles are not popular with kids. my kids dont want the old socks that their dad thinks are cool. my kids want the new socks that their friends think is cool. let this new generation of rams fans open up their own pair of cool NEW ram socks even if your not the biggest fan. you can still have the throwbacks.

It's a LOOOOONG tradition for many. I still remember getting my 1st pair of Gym tube socks when I was 9. They HAD to have the blue n yellow stripes. I bet many on here and other Rams fans around the country think RAMS, whenever they see those colors. Of course, it seems trivial to many. But much of fandom is about tradition. I also don't buy the "appease" the young fans thing either. When I made my trip to L.A. I saw a LOT of youngsters wearing old school stuff with old school names n numbers #29.......#85 etc. Kids understand tradition too. With all that said, I can see the Rams going to a fresh new look but with a HEAVY influence of tradition.
