Just read that Whit had a bad right ankle which required surgery and that explains why he had trouble keeping in front of speed rushers and sometimes needed to hold. Now healthy, he should be able to be a plus at LT this season.
The season before he was the envy of all the workouts as he was always springing hard to lead the team. I think his leadership and experience are very important. Not sure what to make of the rest of the OL. Did Havs suffer from an injury too? He had an off year and it can't be an age thing, if there was such a thing. Blythe, Corbett, Edwards, Evans are all youngsters who got their feet wet. How will they look this year? Boom is coming back from a major knee surgery and should be close to 100%. How will he do? Will Allen improve? Lots of questions and we won't know the answers, but our GM, HC and OL coaches should know and I'm sure they'll address the situation. Can't have a suspect OL and hope to win games. Nope. Never gonna work.
