Sounds like his defense is similar to Wades in some respects, but it also sounds like there will be a lot of new wrinkles. I'm guessing that the defense will take some time to gel, and that it will be look quite different by the end of the season.
Fortunately, the Rams have looked to draft players with a high football IQ under Snead and McVay. I'm guessing this new philosophy will also be considered in deciding which defensive free agents we sign and/or keep.

Hammond says, installing that D could be challenging. Fangio's D could take some work to install. It's an "innovative" scheme "but complicated." Though the Rams will probably still be in a base 3-4 D, it's likely that a lot will change.
