Fortunately, the Rams have looked to draft players with a high football IQ under Snead and McVay. I'm guessing this new philosophy will also be considered in deciding which defensive free agents we sign and/or keep.

Rich Hammond addressed that. Since we can't quote the Athletic at length I will just describe what he says. (It's here: [theathletic.com])

Hammond says, installing that D could be challenging. Fangio's D could take some work to install. It's an "innovative" scheme "but complicated." Though the Rams will probably still be in a base 3-4 D, it's likely that a lot will change.
