Chiefs Save the NFL - Passing ball is still KING. This was the most important game since the Packers beat that Run oriented Cowboys team a few years ago on some late game magic by Aaron Rodgers.
But this was so important for the NFL for the Chiefs to win the game so teams don't adopt this throw all your cards into a running game. We saw it first hand today when once the Titans got down, being so run oriented, it was over. It is hard to get ahead in every playoff game and control the game. Sometimes you have to go score and score fast. When Chiefs were down in every game in the playoffs, no problem.
Than to boot, loved the way Coach called that 4th quarter. Instead of running it and punting it to burn clock, he says, lets keep moving the ball and scoring and put the game out of reach with the long touchdown.
This game saved the NFL and saved the world that always looking to improve a product and look for a better way is the way to go and the Chiefs put an exclamation point on that today.
It was a mixed bag for me because Adoree Jackson plays with the Titans and my wife was his speech therapist in grade school but despite my personal ties, I had to go to the higher purpose and very excited!
Plus coach Reid is one of the most underrated coaches in NFL history. He wins every where he goes. His 4th quarter today was classic almost Belicheck like putting the game away with that exclamation point!
The best passing team defeated the best running team!
