49'ers run nearly every play out of 12 personnel. They use motion to open throwing lanes and the middle of the field. Is he a one-trick pony? Will he be 'figured out' - the way some on here have heaped scorn on McVay.
Contrast that with the ineffective scheme that the new Browns head coach ran for the Vikings on Saturday. Are the 49'ers players on offense that much better than the Vikings? I'm not sure there's a big disparity on talent there. Just better scheme and execution for the 49'ers.
Bodes well for the Rams in 2020 - better execution and a few upgrades and we can be back on top.
