Man, Deadpool. My heart goes out to you and I wish there was some way I could help beyond a simple acknowledgement of the joy you bring me personally to read your Rams and football insight. I understand the marriage thing; my wife did the same after 42 years of marriage but fortunately our kids are grown and have their own young ones to focus on. As an old man that refuses to act old, I can only marvel at the optimism and strength your post shows.
Most of us are just faceless entities linked by our fandom and longtime (sometimes very loooong) love of the Rams. Most of us recall the days when getting information, much less opinions, on our NFL love was scant. You provide more insight into MY team in a week than I would get in 3 years before the internet and even now more than I could find at 50 websites. I've been loitering and lurking around many of you guys since the old Post-Dispatch days in the late 90's and there have been some dark times and some very memorable ones. But you have my vote for board MVP.
Just know that no matter how tough times get, there is always another lifted by simple words about something that we love if only because it pulls us away from many of the more difficult and admittedly important real life challenges we all face. You're a hero, man...if only for what you do in life. That you add to my own life from so far away makes you a superhero in my mind. Just like Deadpool!
